Pre-Halloween

The week leading up to Halloween has been busy and full of fun! There were plenty of chance to wear our costumes.

Starting on Tuesday:

My little preschool class is the Mouse class, so we saw it only fitting to dress up as Minnie Mouse...times 2! Kristen and I had the best time together.  My mom made us the matching aprons-- she is so talented!

We had the parents come in for the last little bit for a sing along and for some pictures-- this was the best class picture we could get!

One last one of the mouse class teachers:

On Wednesday, the rest of the school celebrated Halloween (my class only meets Tuesday/Thursday so we celebrate a different day) with a parade and class parties.  The boys were excited to get to wear their costumes to school....

A football player and a race car driver off to school...

Can you tell how much Andy loves his costume?? He was beyond excited to wear it!

Calboy was excited too!

In the middle of taking the before-school pictures, he had to pee...this picture is just so fitting for a race car driver! ha!

We tried to get a picture with the boys and the dogs (and, um, how much has Bruce grown since the last picture we did on the porch??).  This was a fail-- the dogs just wanted to wrestle-- of course!

When Cal walked into his classroom, he was greeted by super heroes and ninjas-- so I had to do a group pic with some of the boys...

Then, all the parents head up to the court yard to wait for the parade to begin.  Class by class, they walk up and by all the parents who are quickly snapping picture after picture while waving at their little Elsa or Captain America....

Andy, being Andy, wasn't thrilled with the idea of a parade.  He wasn't excited about people looking at him.  As soon as his class walked up, he spotted me...
 ...and bolted.

The above picture is cute and all, but homie was TERRIFIED.  I offered to hold his hand and walk him in the parade-- he was holding up the line so I was just trying to get him moving....I picked him up and tried carrying him in the parade...which led to a massive meltdown.  So we just moved out of the line and let him calm down.

Cal with his buddy Jack...Jack's mom sent me this one saying she couldn't figure out Jack's new found interest in football-- until she saw Cal's costume! She had no idea Cal loved it so much.... I would say that's an understatement!
Halloween: round 1 was a big success...if you don't count Andy's freak out.... on to ROUND TWO....
