#carriedaway: week 45

Week 45:

Day 329: I order one phone case a year and adore it all year long.

Day 330: I try really hard not to play favorites. But they are totally my favorites.

 Day 331: love my turkeys!

Day 332: lots of tackling for these two at the turkey bowl today

Day 333: oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree...

Day 334: if this tree is still standing come Christmas, it'll be a miraculous thing.

Day 335: how nug feels about Monday.

Thanksgiving

Dear gracious, I am BEHIND on my posting!

Time to recap Turkey Day 2014.

It was an awesome Thanksgiving.  That is putting it mildly.  To be honest, I think this was one of my most favorite Thanksgivings of all time.  Well, I have to put it in the top 5 because Eddie proposed on Thanksgiving in 2005-- so that will always be the TOP TOP, but this was right up there!

We started the day by doing a popup workout together.  And it was awesome.  Eddie went with me and we got our booties kicked and it was awesome.  The boys went over to Katie's house to play with her kids and had a blast.

After workout, we went to get some breakfast and we called mom who had made the cutest breakfast ever...

While the kids ate on these turkeys, we turned on the parade. Mr. Andy was AMAZED with the parade.  Each float that came out he would gasp and was just blown away over and over and over again.  He was SO fun to watch watching the parade!

Our good friends, the Fitches came over for Thanksgiving.  They were going to go spend it with family, but with a sick grandparent, they were unable to....we were SO thankful to have them join us! We also had Carrie Beth fly in and Tricia and Tommy were able to come too, before catching a flight to Colorado to spend the holiday with his family.  My aunt also joined, so we had the perfect little crew over at mom and dad's house!

We had to wait until the end of the parade to see Santa-- everyone wanted to see Andy see him arrive- ha! And then we all flew to our house to shower and get dressed and get the food heated up before retuning by 1... it was a little chaotic, but it was so fun!

Andy loves Lee-- they were excited to see each other!

We sat down to eat around 2... we had poppers at each place setting; something we have all come to LOVE.  These lovely hats are a product of the poppers...

We took Bruce over there with us...it was too long of a time for him to be in his crate... after eating, we took him on a walk through the neighborhood to try to wear him out (and work off some of the food we ate!)

We came home to find the children pants-less.  We don't know why. Andy had some little "marks" in his underwear so he changed to a spare that my mom had...which were little girl ones she keeps for Catherine... then Lee spilled on his so he changed...so Andy and Lee were both wearing little girl undies...

This made us laugh so hard...

These two were putting on quite a show for us... we were all laughing non-stop... two personalities right here!

Here were my boys eating dinner/lunch....

And more after....

Thanksgiving is about spending time with family and friends and I am so beyond thankful that I was able to spend this day with both.  It was wonderful holding hands in a circle before eating and having my dad say a blessing...because we are certainly that: BLESSED!

What a great Thanksgiving!!!
