1 year stats

This morning I took Andy in for his ONE YEAR check up! Sheesh... when will I get used to him being ONE?

He did really well, but boy oh boy, was he BUSY! Have I mentioned that this kid is a mover??  Dear gracious!

We started out in the waiting room...Andy crawled right over to the kid table and discovered this adorable kid smiling back at him...

 That little munchkin stuck his tongue out at Andy...

Andy found that to be hilarious.

And I am NOT saying anything, but Mr. Andy took a few steps on his own in the waiting room.  He was holding on to a chair and let go and took two steps towards another chair.  He did this little jig about 5 different times during our visit.  Maybe we will have a walker on our hands soon???

After the waiting room, we were weighed and measured (stats below), and then moved into the next room to wait for the doctor to come.  I guess she was a little behind today, so we had to wait quite a while in this room.  This is not easy with an active kiddo! He was going WILD!

He pulled up on the door and started banging his hands as hard as he could...

Then he found a chair he thought looked like fun...

Then he found the cabinet under the examination table.  His fingers only got pinched in there about 72 times.  He thought this toy was the best in the whole room so he played with it for a while.

The last time he pinched his fingers, he got pretty mad, so I picked him up and sang him his favorite song (apple bottom jeans, boots with the fuuuuuur, the whole club was looking at herrrrrr.....), and he started clapping...

The whole appointment went well, but Andy was none too thrilled with the man who pricked his finger for some blood nor the woman who came in to give him shots.  He was so sad! His little lip came up and stayed out for a while... he couldn't believe those mean people would hurt him!

He survived the check up and the doctor said everything is looking great! Just what I want to hear!

here are his stats this visit:

weight: 24 pounds, 0 ounces ----> 50th-75th percentile
length: 30.5 inches ------> 75th percentile
head circumference: 48 cm ------> 90th percentile (my boys and their large noggins!)

SO thankful to have a happy, healthy, BUSY boy!!!
