Friday, I taught a popup class and I promised the boys a trip down the zip line before class... I may or may not have taken a ride after Nug's turn.
We went straight from popup to the pool to swim for a bit. Cal took it upon himself to apply his own sunscreen. #thanksbutno
We stayed for a while, but figured we should get some rest time since we had had such a busy week. We came home and Andy crashed....I love a post- swim nap! I wish everyone would take one-- myself included!
After he woke up, he learned a new trick from Bruce! Great way to drink water, right?!
He insisted on wearing this Masters shirt to dinner at the club Friday night. He looked so sweet as we were getting shoes on, I had to take a picture.... his blonde hair is coming back a little... love that smile and that dimple. But don't let it fool you: he was yelling 2 seconds before this picture and immediately following. Sooooo fun.
We got to the club and Cal looked back at me and I swear, he aged 3 years in an hour. He looked SO old to me. I wanted to take his picture too (please ignore the brother in the background trying to climb into the fountain....).
I then attempted a brother picture... there were some serious fails.
Nope.
Not great.
Wow.
That is a no.
And we are done!
We met some friends up there and Sally and I had to take our usual bathroom selfie because that's just what we do, apparently.
Then we wondered out on the golf course and took another selfie. I might buy her a selfie stick for her birthday. hmmmm.... too bad it just passed. It's coming, Sall.... get ready.
After we retrieved the kids from kids club, the got some ice cream with two of the Corley boys-- they were a happy bunch! We stayed out way too late (for the kids) and when we got home, everyone was tired.
Saturday, the boys had swim team at 9 and I had popup out by the pool. This was the first hour long practice that the boys have had. Cal did them last year, but it was Andy's first time...and he did great! He is really loving the pool and swimming. #praise!
After working out and swim team, there was a birthday party at the pool. There were a ton of kids there for the party and the pool so we got as many together as we could and took a picture... that's a big group of kiddos! There were so many more there that we should have gotten in the picture... but then I might have had to take a panoramic...and ain't no body for time for that.
We left the pool and Andy once again got it done for the post-swim nap. It was much needed and appreciated, if you know what I'm saying.
While he napped, Cal had a football tournament going on in his room. He had to wear a hat because he was the coach.
Cal came downstairs for a snack and I saw his cheeks were bright pink. I took a picture and then remembered taking one similar to it last year.
I opened my timehop app and found the picture...taken ONE YEAR AGO THAT DAY. Isn't that weird?? I thought so too. And also, I want to cry how old he looks in one year. I need to get over it. But I can't!
We went to dinner Saturday night with Tricia and Tommy and Tommy's dad and I managed to not take any pictures..... (gasp!). We got home and got the kids in bed, where they both decided to sleep shirtless.
We had a reallllly rough night Saturday night, sleep-wise. Someone wet the bed and someone else refused to be in the room without his brother there. I rolled over Sunday morning and saw this.... sound asleep right next to each other. They fight like wild animals, but they also love pretty hard too.
Hank was all up in there too... sweet boy. He loves to sleep on Andy's sleeping bag and Andy likes to sleep on Hank's bed. What is wrong with this picture?!
I didn't really take any more pictures Sunday...! Eddie was in a golf tournament Saturday and Sunday so he is MIA from the pictures...sorry, Ed... buuut, not really since you were golfing! I took the boys to the pool after doing some chores around the house (changing wet sheets.........) and then we came home and laid low!
Cal has UNC soccer camp this week and Andy has Vacation Bible School. It will be a busy week with different drop offs and pick ups, but I think it will do the boys some good to be apart. They have been SOOOO together lately...see above sleeping pictures....!
Hope it was a great weekend!!! Getting ready to travel a bunch again-- looking forward to it!
