We landed late Sunday night and didn't get into bed until after midnight. Monday morning, we were loving on the boys like crazy, and then it was time for them to go to school.
While Andy was busy being a witch at school:
... Cal and I were on a field trip to a pumpkin farm!
We went through a corn maze collecting items to later feed the animals...
Some of his cute little buddies...
It was a quick dose of reality, coming back from our trip, but I am so glad I got to be there with him! We went on a hay ride and saw some pumpkins. He fed a TON of animals, which was a high light!
I had to leave the field trip a little early to make it back to Westminster for a staff meeting (where I was presenting!). Cal decided to leave with me so we hustled back to school and only missed the first part of the meeting. After the staff meeting, we came home and let the dogs out and got ready for soccer practice for Cal at 5. It was a good first day back!
Tuesday, I had to work, so Andy and I were out the door by 8:10. I spent my morning with some CUTE little kiddos...
Andy and I came home after school and did some cleaning around the house-- forgot to mention, my dryer stopped working while we were gone, so I was shuttling wet clothes over to my mom's house to use her dryer. So, THAT was fun!
We headed to Andy's tennis with Bruce and after dropping off Andy, Bruce and I walked with Sally and Jane to pick up Cal at school. We walked back to tennis where then it was Cal's turn. Andy and I ran Bruce back home, but not before stopping to pick up dry clothes... Bruce was loving the car rides:
Cal's tennis was from 4-5 and then Andy had soccer from 5-6. I was filling in for the coach, so I had to actually lead practice... my brain was FRIED. After practice ended, I headed to popup for my first workout in a week... a friend of mine came-- she is a teacher at Cal's school and her aunt teaches at Westminster with me-- she is adorable! She's also like 22. She posted this picture to instagram after the class...
I was cracking up: #momgoals bwahahahahahahaha How can I be so old?!?!?!?! ANY WAY, it was a great workout and I thought I was going to vomit/pass out/ fall over more times than not, but it felt really great to be back exercising. It was needed.
When I got home Tuesday night, I was like a zombie. The day totally took a toll on me. I was ready to go to bed immediately!
Wednesday, I drove to Briar Chapel (which is about 25 minutes away) to help teach a popup class out there. We had a great turn out and it was also a super fun class. I ran to Target after and while I was there, the dryer repair man called and wanted to come to my house right then to fix it. I about left my cart, but needed dinner so I quickly checked out and hauled tail home. He was there and waiting and fixed it in about 2 minutes. I headed to pick up Andy and then had to put the now-working dryer to work! I did several loads of laundry and cleaned up and then went to get Cal. Friday was school picture day and his hair was like a mop on his sweet head. We headed to the barber shop to get a fresh cut. In the car afterwards, he was cracking up...and I looooove his laugh.
After his haircut, we went home and quickly did homework and then got on soccer clothes and headed to practice!
We raced home when practice was over and I quickly fed the boys and then changed my clothes to head to the preschool open house! I got to spend some time in Andy's class room and then my students' parents came into our class. It was a fun night, and I really like our parents....but I didn't get home until after 9 and I still had to make lunches and get ready for the next day.
Then there's this guy who loves to bring stuff inside from the yard. He was sooo proud of this twig.
Thursday, the preschools were all out for a massive preschool conference. It was long (8-12:30), but we learned some great ideas to use in the classroom. I left the conference and went to get Andy, who spent the morning with my mom (thank you, mom!) and we headed to Petsmart because we were completely out of dog food.
Andy is obsessed with checking on the cats when we go there.
He thinks cats are hysterical. I don't know why-- but they make him laugh. A lot.
We parked at my mom's house Thursday afternoon and Bruce and I walked while Andy rode his bike (notice socks with capes...)
all the way to Cal's school and then they both rode home together. Bruce needed to get some energy out! By the time we were done and back in the car, I got a text that I needed to coach soccer again Thursday night. We headed home and changed clothes and then headed to soccer practice! (I feel like I should have a permanent seat there)
After practice, we came home and ate dinner and the boys bathed themselves (kind of a new thing they think is super cool!). I was thankful for no night time activities!
Thursday night, around 1:30, Bruce was barking like crazy in his crate. I went in and yelled at him to be quiet and then he started crying, so I took him out. Poor guy peed and pooped like crazy, Guess he had an upset tummy because he went back out at 3 and 5 and had horrible tummy issues. One of the 50 (oh how I exaggerate) times I was up with him, I came back into the room and saw Andy and Hank like this:
Yes, that punk still comes in and sleeps on our floor. And yes, he sleeps holding Hank's hand....errr paw. Whatever it takes for momma to sleep. amiright??
Friday we dropped Cal at school and then ran to subway to pickup lunch for Cal. I taught popup (with Andy in childcare) and then as soon as we were done, we raced to Cal's school to eat lunch with him. I figured it isn't often Andy will get to eat with Cal there and they both thought it was so fun!
Such goof balls.
So it's been a wild and crazy week! I know everyone has crazy times-- and I am thankful so I know it isn't just me! ha! This weekend we have 3 birthday parties, 3 soccer games and a beer fest (guess which one I am looking forward to MOST?!?!)
Cheers to surviving another week!!! Now can I go back to Cabo????
