While I was in Ole Miss this past weekend , the boys made a little trip to TEXAS for a football game (Arkansas vs. Texas A & M in Cowboys stadium). I had already booked my trip when this game popped up, and I battled with some SERIOUS mom guilt for missing. After stressing about it for entirely too long, I talked to my mother in law, who assured me the boys would be well taken care of and everything would be just fine! So, off I went on Thursday, and off they went on Friday.
That said... I left Thursday after drop off. I thought for sure I would be able to find a babysitter to help out with the boys until Eddie wrapped up work. A friend offered to have a play date with Cal after school, so he was taken care of (or so I thought-- bless her heart, she got sick the night before and had a 102 fever so that play date was canceled too!). There were zero sitters to be found. I tried millions (like 14...but still). THANK GOD for Sally. She saved me. She picked up Andy from school and had a play date and then took him to swim practice...and then took him to soccer. Seriously. What a freaking good friend. To haul your kid around and get him dressed/undressed numerous times is above and beyond the call of friendship. THANK YOU, SALLY!!!!!
Eddie and the boys left super early Friday morning.
They had an action-packed weekend that included horse riding, pool swimming, train riding, bike riding and so much more!
On the way to the football game....
Right when they got there...I think the noise was a bit much for Andy. He looks slightly shocked. ha
Enjoying the stadium!
He didn't make it the whole game-- bless his heart.
Before they came home on Sunday, they had to get in one more swim. Don't they look miserable??
I am glad the boys were able to have fun while I was away. I missed them like a CRAZY person though. I got home on Sunday before they did and the house was eerie quiet.
It certainly isn't now!
