He's moving up a storm!

It's official: I have felt the baby move.... A LOT!  I felt him for the first time a while ago, but then went a while without feeling him move much (totally normal, I am told).  Flying home from Texas last weekend, he was moving the whole airplane ride.  His Aunt Tricia thinks he was moving because he hates to fly as much as she does.  We will see, I guess!  I hope that's not the case.  We are going to have this little guy traveling every chance we get!

I woke up yesterday morning to him moving around.  It was such a great feeling, I just laid there in bed with my hand on my tummy feeling him jump all around.  It felt like the tiniest little pencil eraser poking my hand.  I can't even imagine how little his hand or foot is that I am feeling, but it makes me SO happy to feel him move!

This morning, the same thing happened again. 7:00 and he was up and moving around.  I grabbed Eddie's hand, even though he was sleeping, and put his hand on my stomach.  He immediately felt the little POP that I had been feeling.   I can't wait until I can look at my stomach and see it move around.  The coolest thing ever is lying on one side for a while, and then switching to flat on my back.  The whole baby has shifted over to that one side, so my tummy is crooked for a few minutes.  The morning is my favorite time to feel my stomach.  It is the weirdest, coolest thing in the world.  I haven't eaten anything, so my stomach is flat, and then it is like there's a grapefruit (a LARGE one!) stuck in my stomach.  I LOVE IT!

I am wondering if this means that the little guy will be active early in the morning.  He is actually moving around like crazy right now as I write this at 4:00 in the afternoon.  Maybe we just have an active guy!

I am on cloud nine! :)  (no pun intended for the below post re: the wall color....)

Nursery changes

I feel like I have a TON of stuff to write about, it is just finding the time to write about it that's tricky!I am currently 22 weeks pregnant (!!!).  VERY hard to believe, but so exciting at the same time!  When we first got pregnant, we debated on where to put the nursery.  We have two bedrooms downstairs (the study and the guest room), and then upstairs we have the master and then a little loft that opens up to the rest of the downstairs.

Eddie really didn't want the baby to be alone downstairs, and I agreed!  So, when we were in Paris, we had the loft closed in, to make it another bedroom.  It was looking good, but not painted.... we had to wait to pain until we knew the sex of the baby.

This post will go in stages:

First, the before pictures:

This is the loft looking out into the family room.  The
hideous yellow wall came with the house... we did not pick it!

This is the window in the loft.  I think it's pretty cute (minus the yellow wall...).  The yellow
actually doesn't look that bad in the pictures, but
it is a pretty heinous shade of mustard in person.

And last "pre" shot: the closet of the loft.  This is where Eddie has kept most of his clothes.
We had moved out all of the furniture when these pictures were taken, but we used to have some cute furniture up there, which made it really cozy and nice.

And now, the MIDDLE shots:
This was after the drywaller came.  He scraped the popcorn off of the ceiling, closed in the loft, and added a door/door frame.  It was really shocking to come home to see it done!

This is the newly closed in wall.  You can where the mud has gotten on the walls from him scrapping the ceiling.
Just another angle of the room.  You can see the raised ceilings, etc...

...and lastly, the added door frame and door.  Ignore the stuff outside of the door :)  I have been packing and trashing and working hard to get rid of "stuff" to make room for the little one!

And finally, the most recent pictures:
One "cloud blue" accent wall, the rest is white.
Phew!  That post took forever!  For all of you bloggers, I have a new appreciation for your blogs! :)

I am not sure what we would have done to this room if we were having a girl.  I probably would have wanted it the exact same way.  I just love blue.... and I can't see myself painting the room pink!

We are having some carpet cleaners come to the house tomorrow to get the carpet looking great, and then we can start moving some furniture in.  I will post again once we take pictures of the room coming along.
