On Wednesday night last week, we had dinner at the country club with Santa! This is one of my favorite nights each year! See past dinners: 2013 //2012//2011//2010//2009

Which leads us to 2014!!!
It was a CRAZY afternoon-- I mean, fully packed non-stop going. I managed to bathe myself and both boys, get everyone dressed and both dogs taken care of before we left. I was a harried mess...but it was worth it!
I tried for a picture in front of the tree-- Andy was giving me his best smile. Sigh.
This one is about amazing to me. LOVE the way they are looking at each other!!!
Cal has this new thing where he likes to kneel down in every picture. We don't get it. I am assuming it has something to do with football? Maybe he has seen players kneeling down? Who knows. I just roll with it.
I wanted to take a picture on the steps leading up to the club like we did last year (see below), but Andy and Cal were goofing off in the parking lot and Andy took a mega spill. It was a glorified face plant. He was still shaken up by that when I took this picture....
We met Eddie there and did a quick family picture....
And then I got one of my boys...

The boys ate and then it was time for Santa to come. As you can see from the above pics, it is the same Santa every year and he is outstanding. LOVE this guy!
Andy was SO unsure of him and basically was having no part of this guy. Cal hopped right up and was ready to chat.
I held Andy on my lap to start off and then leaned way out of the way for the pictures- haha
Andy was eying Santa's coat. Santa was talking to Cal and Andy reached over to pet his fur cuff. I don't think he even realized what he was doing...
After Cal told Santa what he wanted (a goal post to go on the other side of the back yard), Andy stood in front of Santa. Santa started telling him that he remembered him from last year, but that he had grown so much. He turned him around to "see how much he had grown," and then he said he wanted to "see if he weighed more."
He picked him right up and plopped him on his lap and we got this shot! I jumped out of the picture as fast as I could and Cal stood there smiling. If only we could get Andy to crack a smile....
After Santa talked to all the kids, he had them all sit on the floor and listen to him read The Night Before Christmas....
Cal sat up so straight-- he was very into the story!
Apparently he liked one of the pictures...
And then I looked down and saw his arm around Andy. Pretty sweet.
