We had what I thought was a lowkey weekend, but it ended up feeling like a marathon weekend of go go go.
Thursday night, Andy wasn't feeling well and went to bed a little warm. He woke up at 10:30 with a 102.5 fever. I slept in his bed with him and we were up for hours and hours. I have a little cold, and I think staying up all night with him made me feel even worse. Andy and I stayed home together on Friday and I cleaned out the study and the playroom-- it was a HUGE task! Holy cow. Thankfully, Andy woke up Friday morning feeling great and full of energy. He was super "helpful" in my cleaning jobs.
Before....the study... it has been a collection spot for many many things...and where Bruce sleeps. I moved everything out and vacuumed it multiple times to get all the hair up.
I was on such a roll of throwing stuff away, I think he feared he was next. He hid under the desk...
Here is the after... well, part of the room. I didn't take the time to take the other side picture. Oops. Bruce loves his new room :) and I guess Hank does too from the below pic.
Andy loooooves his Cam Newton jersey. It's all he wants to wear. But he wore it to school Thursday so it was dirty Friday. He remained shirtless until it was clean. He helped me with the laundry to expedite the process--
We did multiple loads together. So helpful...
Before we knew it, it was time to go get Cal. It was a nasty, rainy day-- we represented Fitch Lumber on our way!
Because we weren't feeling great, we bagged our plans for Friday night and laid low. And it was lovely. I started my new book and it is GOOD.
Saturday was a cuh-razy day. I was teaching popup at 9, Cal had a basketball game (that Eddie was coaching) at 9:15, then Eddie had a funeral to attend, so he left Cal at basketball (to be brought home by Mr. Bryan), brought Andy to me at the club as I was finishing class, and then we hauled it home to meet Cal. Eddie left for the funeral with a change of clothes so he could get to Andy's basketball, where he is also coaching, by 1:00. In between basketball practices, we went to my parents house so the kids could playin the driveway with my brother's kids.
Because I was teaching class, I missed Cal's practice, and therefore have no pictures...! Next time, I will take over load. At Andy's, I took some pics and loads of videos (which I won't post here...!). Andy was so so so excited about getting a turn to play basketball. It is hard being the little brother and always watching the big boys play-- he is finally getting to where he can play all the same sports and he loves it.
I have zero clue why he's wearing those socks. Cal wore some like it too. Eddie got them dressed. They have actual basketball socks.... again, no clue. These are the thickest, hottest socks ever. But whatever.
Here are 4 of the red dragons....
We came home after basketball and had some chill time. Eddie cooked us dinner on the grill and then it was baths and bed-- and these two were WIRED. I mean, going crazy, running around and dancing like fools. It WORE me out watching them!
Saturday night, Eddie went to see a movie and I curled up on the couch with my book and the fire and was in heaven! We got this bed at costco for a whopping $20 (most pet beds are over $100, easily), and the dogs fight over it. They both sprint towards the bed to see who gets there first. Hank looooooves this thing. Now that I m writing this, I feel like I have already written about his love of this bed....! ha!
Sunday, everyone sort of slept in...and then the boys went downstairs and let me and Eddie sleep until almost 8:30....! WHAT????? It was amazing.
And, while we were eating breakfast, it started "snowing"! I use that term loosely because it was close to 60 yesterday so this white stuff was nowhere near sticking. But boy, did it get these kids excited!
We did a whole lot of screaming and they attempted to catch some flakes in their mouth and then decided it was cold outside and came in to warm up. haha
We were supposed to have flag football start Sunday, but with the weather, it was canceled. The boys were bummed, but that just builds even more excitement for next weekend! It would have been so cold and wet and MUDDY had we had it-- which got these two goofs beyond excited... but it was canceled.
My brother told me Jackson was wanting a playdate so he came over for a bit to play. Before long, they were playing shirts vs skins football... welcome to the Williamson household.... #sigh.
Andy was sick of getting tackled in no-tackle football, so he came down to do a little brownie baking with me.
I planned my workouts for Monday (I am teaching a double header at popup... better eat my wheaties!), and did some meal planning. It was a productive day, but pretty lazy...! I didn't mind one bit.
Tomorrow is still considered the weekend, since it is MLK day... but for the regular weekend, this was it. Low key and pretty boring...but pretty perfect!
