It is 5:36 am here in the Williamson household, and Cal and I have been going strong since 4. Before that, he woke up at 9:30, slept in my arms until about 11:00 and started screaming when I went to put him in the crib. Eddie and I each took turns trying to get him down. At 1:00 (after either screaming or being held--me awake the entire time), I gave in and brought him to bed with us in my arms-- horrible idea. Eddie and Cal slept; I did not. At 4, I tried to shift Cal and that's when we woke up. I have been walking laps around my house while holding him and singing. We have rocked, we have stretched out, we have tried it all. I finally just gave in and let him play for a while.
What is this kid's aversion to his crib? He is fine until we lift him up over the railing. Any way to avoid that? We were doing SO well with sleep....I feel like a zombie right now!

Oh man...I'm so sorry. Sadly, I don't have any advice. But I can tell you with a great amount of certainty that next week will be different! ;-) Holden was sleeping through the night, and then he decided to wake up at 4 am again, and THEN he decided he would just start every day at 5 am instead.
ummmmm....i sure hope you took naps when cal took naps today! bless your heart!! hang in there...is he falling sound asleep in your arms after his nightime bottle? if so, maybe he just gets too startled when you put him down. maybe just put him down awake so he can put himself to sleep...just a thought! you are probably already doing that though :) hope tonight is a better night!!
