Easter Weekend at the beach!

I didn't have school on Good Friday, so I left after work Thursday and headed to the beach with the family.  Eddie also left on Thursday for the Masters.  I was going to go with him, but decided with the constant bathroom breaks I would have to take, it might not be as fun for Eddie :).

My sweetest nephew, Jackson, was so much fun at the beach.  He is 15 months old and is the cutest thing ever.  He makes the best faces and talks up a storm.  We were in church on Sunday, and after the choir was done singing, he said, "Woah." Everyone in church was smiling at him.  It was such a sweet moment.
Here are some pictures from the beach trip:

I am only slightly obsessed with the sweet little guy.  He is just so entertaining!  Last year at Easter, he was so little, but still so cute.  We each took turns staying up with him in the night so his parents could get some rest.  It's so hard to believe how much he has grown in the past year.  Even harder to believe that Eddie and I will have a little one next Easter!  We are so excited and can not wait for all of the fun that comes with the little person growing inside of me! :)

I hope everyone had a Happy and blessed Easter.  As I sat in church on Sunday, I couldn't help but feel pretty darn blessed!

17 weeks and dad-to-be's birthday!

Today is Eddie's birthday...YAY!  It also happens to be the same day as a VERY important basketball game.  (GO HEELS!)
I made him his mom's lasagna and had all of his other favorites too.  He came home from work and opened everything immediately.  I think it was a huge hit though.  This is what it looked like BEFORE Eddie got home.
I also had Eddie take a picture of me at 17 weeks.
Yesterday, I swear I wasn't showing at all.  Our neighbor is due September 20 (1 day after me!), and she has a HUGE adorable belly.  It's also her second, so maybe her belly is showing faster.  I woke up this morning and felt like my stomach had tripled in size (all in my imagination, I know).  We documented this week because I know it is going to continue to grow and grow and grow!  I read that the baby will quadruple in size over the next 4 months!  I can NOT wait!  I am so excited to feel Peanut move too!
Eddie looked at me at dinner and said, "This is my last birthday with just the two of us."  It made me glad that I made a big deal out of our dinner together.  It was sweet. :)

Finally...a belly picture!

This is a HORRIBLE picture.  I think I am laughing at Eddie in it, or making a face at him or something!  BUT, you can start to see the belly!  I am 15 weeks in this picture.

The "apple" of my eye...

Well, I got my email notification that Peanut is now 15 weeks along!  Peanut is growing a bunch and is now the size of an apple.  He/she is 4 inches long (from crown to rump) and weighs about 2 1/2 ounces.

Growing Belly:
My clothes have been feeling a little snugger in the waist line, so I went to a maternity store to get a few items.  I didn't really think I needed pants yet, because I can wear them low, but I did need some longer shirts to cover my growing belly and my (sometimes unbuttoned) pants.  Mom and I had a great time getting a few items, along with a pair of jeans.  LOVE THEM!  I have never owned such comfort!  It feels SO good to let my belly out and not have it be squeezed into pants.  I think I am about at the point of needing some pants.  I just hate the feeling of tightness on my tummy.  It is such a good sign though, because it means the baby is growing!

Boy or girl???
Eddie and I are SO excited about this little growing bean.  Eddie can not wait to find out the sex.  Surprisingly, I have been the patient one, and he just can not stand not knowing.  At my last appointment, I asked the doctor when we'd be able to find out and he said not at the next appointment, but at the one after that (translation: 2 months!) When I told Eddie he said, "Oh, that's not soon enough. We need to know sooner!"  Can you imagine us ever not finding out??  We are horrible! What do you think?  Boy or girl?  Turn your opinion in at the poll in the top corner.

The Nursery Transformation:
While we were in Paris, we had the loft upstairs closed in to become the nursery.  It was SO cool to come home to the nursery taking shape!  We want to wait until we know the sex to get it painted, so right now it doesn't look so good, but it is going to be the cutest nursery ever!!!  We already have a changing table so we have a start!

I will post pictures of everything as we take them.  I would like to start taking weekly pictures of my growing belly so we can track it :)

Peanut went to Paris!!

Smoochin' in front of the tower!
Peanut went to Paris at 12 weeks.  It was SUCH a fun trip and I felt great the whole time.  The plane ride was easy and it was a very fun trip and me and Eddie to take together.  We need to take advantage of those times now, before we have a bambino running around!

Peanut is growing! :) (At least I am imagining it is!)
No drinking for pregnant girls! :)

PEANUT GOES TO PARIS!

On Friday, we are taking a Jones trip to Paris/Normandy.  I am SO excited and I know Eddie is too.  I am a little nervous about flying over there.  I have been so lucky so far with sickness, so I am really hoping that continues... I can't think of a worse place to get sick than up in the air over the ocean!  The doctors just said to drink plenty of fluids and to get up and walk around every hour.  Should be an interesting flight!
Eddie has already checked our seats to make sure I had an aisle seat so I wouldn't have to ask someone to move all the time!

I will take a ton of pictures of the 3 of us in Paris (mom, dad, and PEANUT), so I will post them when we get back.

I am still figuring out this whole blogging thing.  Hopefully I will get the hang of it before too long :)

9 weeks check up

On the 17th of February, I had my monthly check up with Dr. Miller.  Everything was looking good... but we had a little scare.  She tried to use the doppler (a microphone looking thing) to check for a heart beat, but couldn't find one!  I was freaked out, of course, and kept asking if I should call Eddie.  She took me into the ultrasound room where Heather, the technician, found the heart beat right away :).  So it ended up being a great visit because I got more pictures of little peanut!!!  I did not get them on a disk this time so I would have to take a picture with my iPhone, then upload them, and I am not sure it would turn out so great... there will be attempts though!

Peanut is growing!

Peanut!

Here is the first (of MANY MANY) picture we got of our little Peanut.  It was taken at 7 weeks, so it is hard to see anything.

Bill Adams Regatta at Camp Sea Gull

Chris' best friend and college roommate (and Jackson's namesake) passed away five years ago. Camp Sea Gull was a HUGE part of Bill's life as well as Chris'. When Bill passed, Chris and some other camp goers set up an endowment fund in Bill's name to send kids to camp that otherwise would not be able to go. The William J. Adams Annual Regatta was help this weekend at Camp, and everyone had a wonderful time there. The total raised was $15,000, which is just incredible. Thank you to everyone that came out and donated money to this wonderful cause. We can't wait to do it again next year.

Andrea and Matt's Wedding

Andrea and Matt tied the knot Saturday night. It was SUCH a beautiful wedding. I think Andrea was the most beautiful bride. The photographers had to have gotten some amazing pictures, and I can't wait to see them. The reception was out at Fearrington and was SO much fun. They took some pictures out by the barn-- they looked like they were straight out of a magazine! The band was Black and Blue and they put on quite a show. We all danced and sang and partied the night away. We are so happy for the newlyweds and can't wait to hear about the honeymoon. Here are some pictures from the wedding...
